Zakir Hussain was born on March 9, 1951. He was not only a virtuoso musician but also an ambassador of Indian classical music, showcasing the intricate beauty and depth of the Tabla to audiences worldwide. His musical journey began at an early age, cultivating a passion for rhythm that would define his remarkable career. A disciple of the legendary Ustad Allah Rakha, he quickly rose to prominence, earning accolades both in India and abroad.
Throughout his illustrious career, Zakir Hussain collaborated with numerous renowned artists, crossing genres and cultural boundaries.
